Advanced have decided to move the Exchequer ERP accounting software into Extended Support Set (ESS). This means that unless any issues you experience are of a legislative or security nature, it is very unlikely that they will be addressed. We have spoken with quite a number of Exchequer customers who are currently looking for alternatives and planning their move away from Exchequer.

Whether it is some or all of your Exchequer data being extracted to a new system, Exchequer Dynamics is ready and poised to help with this data extraction process. We use our own Data Synchronisation engine, ExSync Server, as well as providing our client-side dynamic query building product, ExReport. Combining our two best-selling solutions helps with the query building needed to ‘shape’ your data for reporting or migration into the new accountancy package. Whether in MSSQL or Oracle MySQL format, ExSync provides the data in an identical table structure suitable for reporting and importation into the new system.

Both products can be provided on a service basis, although ExReport is often purchased for ongoing reporting with archived Exchequer data, as it’s more cost effective.

While the option of extracting your data for reporting and archival purposes is available, migrating to another ERP is easily achievable. We specialise in creating solutions to work alongside Advanced Exchequer to enhance its daily use, although we understand that you may find yourself in a position to migrate away to make use of other systems.

When working with this type of data it’s important to remember that the UK government requests that HMRC records have a retention period of 6 years plus current accounting year. This is defined as 6 years after the last record entry in your Exchequer data, followed by first review and/or destruction to be carried out in the additional current (+1) accounting year.
