Direct Table Foods are one of the largest processors of bacon and gammon in the UK. Exchequer Dynamics integrated a bespoke Warehouse Picking System that was developed by their IT team.
Who are Direct Table Foods?
Direct Table Foods is one of the largest and most successful bacon processors in the UK. Supplying all the big retail supermarkets means that their systems need to be fast, flexible and reliable.
They came to Exchequer Dynamics to streamline their internal systems. This meant changing their warehouse management software so that it could communicate with the Advanced Exchequer Enterprise accounting system to manage the picking of orders.
Customer deliveries needed to be part picked and potentially palletised on different lorries whilst updating Advanced Exchequer and the warehouse in real-time. Orders are regularly modified as they are being picked and therefore the dynamics of the picking needed a consistent and rapid data flow.
Exchequer Dynamics brought in ExFusion to manage the sales order picking and updates so that the warehouse could operate efficiently and the accounting and customer service team could manage customer expectations and deliver on time.
Since October 2011 ExFusion has been the data bridge between Advanced Exchequer and the warehouse management system, delivering the picking notes to the warehouse and constantly updating Advanced Exchequer with the picked orders. ExFusion has helped Direct Table to increase efficiency and profitability.
