Setting Up An ODBC Connection
ExWeb can connect to multiple Exchequer Pervasive companies. Each company must have a separate ODBC connection setup.
To setup up ODBC, click on the ODBC Setup button on the main ExWeb toolbar:-
The ODBC Administrator control panel opens.
Select the 'System DSN' Tab:-
The select 'ADD'
Choose the 'Pervasive ODBC Client Interface' then click 'Finish'
Give the 'Data Source Name' a unique name:
The fill in the server name/ipaddress. This can be 'LocalHost' If this is the Pervasive server, or the Hostname of the Pervasive server or the IP Address.
Next, click the 'get DSN List' button to enumerate the Pervasive database objects.
Select the Pervasive database from the list:
Click 'OK' and that is it. You now need to configure ODBC within ExWeb
