Now that .NET Framework 4 is updated, the MySQL Workbench can be installed.
The MySQL Workbench can be downloaded from http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/workbench/
After downloaded the installation, open it and the following window will appear. Click next to begin the installation:
The first part of the installation is to define where the program data will be stored.
To change the location, click on the change button.
When you have selected your chosen destination, click the next button at the bottom of the screen:
Next, you can select the setup type.
In this scenario the complete option is selected.
The custom option allows you to select which parts of the program are not installed, but this is not required:
Click Install to install the Workbench:
Click finish to complete the installation:
(Note: There is also an option to launch the Workbench upon completion).
